This is a community based site created as rapid response to COVID-19 and a place for Hayward residents to access information and resources in these uncertain times. Website is work in progress and we will work to continue to update it.
We are not crisis respondents, professionals in the field, or experts in health. What we are is Community and we came together in order to gather information to help support one another. We strive to promote solidarity, not charity.

Hayward COVID-19 Mutual aid network
In order to help ensure individuals who are more at risk of developing serious complications from Covid-19 can still meet their basic needs, Hayward Community Resource is offering a matching service between individuals who are high-risk and those who are low-risk. At this time, we are not able to provide financial assistance or donations but can coordinate with the delivery of essential supplies, like food, toiletries, and prescriptions. You and your match can also help one another feel less isolated by checking-in on the phone or by other electronic means. Please follow all directions provided by the CDC to mitigate community spread.
This match program is being organized by private citizens for the benefit of those in our community. By completing the sign up form to be matched you agree that you accept all risk and responsibility and further hold any facilitator associated with Hayward Community Resource harmless.
